Searfoss Family Reunion at Carey Park
About 300 relatives and friends attended the Searfoss reunion at Carey Park on a Saturday. Rev R P Werner of Whitehouse led blessings and a busy program followed including readings addresses and remarks by A J Searfoss and Uncle Jacob Searfoss. A total collection of 830 was raised and officers were elected for the coming year. The group plans to meet again on the second Saturday in August 1921.

Narrow escape as car struck by train on Main street
Levi Hile narrowly escaped death driving east on Main street when box cars blocked his view of a northbound Hocking Valley train. The locomotive struck the auto, carried it about five rods, wrecking the car except the seat and wheel. Hile suffered bruises and facial gashes but no internal injuries and walked to Dr. I N Zeis for treatment.

Chautauqua Opens With Redpath Program Changes Noted

Council Adjourns After Bond Issue Vote
The council met in adjourned session with Mayor McClure and officials present. Resolutions by the Industrial Commission of Ohio and local boards refusing to assume any part of the $99,000 electric light and water work bond issue were read and placed on the minutes. Dible Phillips Reunion Draws Attendees From Several Towns
Two hundred people gathered at the park for the Dible Phillips reunion. Attendees included Mrs Sampford Dulin and Mr and Mrs Jesse Dulin with children from Kenton and Mrs David Metzer and daughter Florence from Detroit. Also present were Harold James of Mattoon and Mrs Charity Whitmer of Ashland. Demented Polish Woman Disturbs Sunday Service
A Polish woman from Cleveland became demented while praying in a basement church. Three men restrained her as she bit Peter Collet on the hand. She was taken to the Walter Carr residence lawn for aid, then turned to Sheriff Orwig for transfer to Cleveland authorities.

Death of Michael Schmidutz in Tiffin and City
Michael Schmidutz died Saturday afternoon at the home of his son in law and daughter on Street S Patterson after a six month cancer battle. Funeral at St Joseph's church in Tiffin with interment in the parish cemetery. He was born August 9 1861 in Tiffin and survived by a daughter and many siblings.
