Heavy rains washed out track three and a half miles west of Plymouth in Northern Ohio. Repairs needed 25 loads of ballast. High water exceeded the 1913 flood, filling cellars that never before held water.

Robert O. Bachar reports his 1918 Ford touring car stolen from Main Street in front of the Lutheran church. At 9:30 p.m. observers saw a young man back the car out and drive west. A $25 reward is offered for its return. it is Carey’s first auto theft. The car bore license 239- Fem and engine 2601648 with Hassler shocks, spark, cut out, tool box, and Goodyear tires.

Auto overturns on Vance Street injures driver
A Saturday morning crash on Vance Street involving John Pahl in a Ford caused the car to turn over after its bags slid loose. The vehicle veered onto a sand pile and trash heap near Eugene Eaving’s residence, damaging the windshield and fender. Pahl suffered a head bruise and a hand cut but no serious injuries.
