Wyandot Home Extension Councillors Plan Activities
Alumnae and present Wyandot County Home Extension councillors met for a potluck at Harrison Smith park in Upper Sandusky to plan the year’s activities. Carey group members included Mrs Dible Mrs Shiley and Mrs Niederkohr while Crawford-Ridge group was represented by Mrs Zahn Mrs Thomas Mrs Hoopf Mrs Wenner and Mrs Wenner. Mrs Heins is president of the active councillors and Mrs Rieser Jr of the alumnae, with Mrs Dible as secretary treasurer of the latter group. County agent Elwood Fisher has submitted resignation effective August 31.

Mr. and Mrs. Wade Speelman and Cheryl Kay Speelman of Alvada spent a few days in New York City for the Eagles National convention where Mr. Speelman, a past-president, attended meetings and the group enjoyed bus tours a visit to the Empire State Building a cruise around Manhattan Island a climb of the Statue of Liberty and stops at Rockefeller Center and Coney Island. They saw the Tigers beat the Yankees at Yankee Stadium and joined in some excursions between meetings. The trip was taken via turnpikes.
