A new Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie was instituted in Carey on Tuesday with Ohio state aerie officers in charge. A street parade led by the Marion Eagles band and Tiffin degree teams preceded the ceremony at the Catholic hall, with delegations from Marion Findlay Fostoria Upper Sandusky and other surrounding aeries in attendance.

Fostoria Publisher Roscoe Carle Dies at 72
Funeral services for Roscoe Carle 72 publisher of the Fostoria Times were held in his home here Tuesday after his death Saturday in Battle Creek sanitarium hospital. Carle worked in Toledo Mansfield and Tiffin before buying the Times in 1901 and served in the Ohio House of Representatives representing Seneca County. He also served as postmaster of Fostoria.

The death of Mrs. Grant Cannon of Carey occurred at Presbyterian hospital in Albuquerque after a yearlong illness. Funeral services were held at Bristols Funeral Home and Memorial Evangelical church with pallbearers and a quartet. interment followed at Spring Grove cemetery. She was born December 17 1882 in Carey, married July 31 1919 to Joseph Grant Cannon, and survived by her mother, sister, brother and other relatives.

Carey Softball League Sees Busy Half With Night Lights Planned
The Carey softball league opened the second half with strong results as the All Stars defeated the Howard Radios 11 to 2 and the Casey Roosters beat the Frigidaires 6 to 1. The Frigidaires edged the All Stars 5 to 4 while the Radios beat the Frigidaires 5 to 1. The All Stars topped the Boosters 7 to 6, then the Radios crushed the All Stars 14 to 4 to lead the standings. Boosters beat Frigidaires 4 to 2, and the All Stars defeated Frigidaires 12 to 1. The Radios then 10 to 3 over the Boosters, followed by a 6 to 5 loss to the Frigidaires. Current standings show Howard Radios and All Stars tied for first at 3–2, Boosters 2–2, Frigidaires 1–4.
