Salvation Army Tag Day Aids Ohio Camp For Underprivileged
Salvation Army official Ensign W C Vernon funds a tag day in Carey on Saturday August 3 to support the indigent children camp on Route 42 near Delaware. Millicent Miller and Girl Scouts will sell tags for 78 children at the 56 acre camp formerly Greenwood Lake Park. Admission to the camp is through Brigadier John J Allan Columbus Ohio. Other tag days planned include Upper Sandusky on Saturday and Westoria on August 10.

Mrs Nancy Ellen Bishop aged 68 dies at her home southwest of Vanlue after nine weeks bed rest from cancer and arterial hardening. Christ Hucke Injured In Farm Wagon Accident
Last Thursday around two o clock Christ Hucke was seriously injured on his farm two miles east of town when a wagon front broke down. He fractured his left hip and suffered a dislocation off the joint. Peter Jenet notified Mrs Hucke and Firmin Pahl drove Hucke to the house. Dr A W Balsley rushed him to Mercy hospital, Tiffin, in Sutter's ambulance.

The older boys camp period at Camp Sandusky opens Monday August 5 and welcomes Carey youths aged 12 to 16. Two local boys are enrolled and final registrations must reach the county Y M C A office in Upper Sandusky by Saturday August. The program includes woodcraft nature study swimming boating athletics camp fire and other recreational features supervised by older leaders with special instructors. Visitors days are Saturday August 10 and Sunday August 11 or Wednesday August 15 for parents and friends.

Entrance gained via cellar door with forced glass, robbers ransacked front rooms and fled during inquiry by two men and a woman seen in a gray and blue auto.
