The interior of the Ira McKin non home between the West End School and Catholic Pavilions on West Street was burned by the Carey Fire Department to be torn down this week. Chief Orien Wilgus commended Carey residents for cooperation as the department faced only one fire call in two months. The 1964 fire loss for Carey and Crawford township totaled $12,000. The 25-member department usually averages 12 per fire and seeks industry cooperation to learn building layouts.
