San Juan Voters See High Turnout in Recall Poll

In a four-community poll of 69,039 registered voters San Juan reports 16,682 to 17,000 voters. 27 percent of respondents come from San Juan. Republicans dominate locally at 56 percent with 25 percent Democrats and 19 percent independents. Among recall supporters 54 percent blame Davis’s job performance and 19 percent cite financial disaster. Eighty-one percent view state politics as off track. Local concerns include excessive Indian gaming and casino presence, with 90 percent planning to vote on Tuesday.
