A San Juan Capistrano family, a 36 year old woman Kelli Groves and two Groves children were rescued from a BMW dangling on the northbound 101 bridge near Santa Rosa Road after a two vehicle crash with a big rig. All three were taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate to minor injuries. The 48 year old truck driver died at the scene. Navy SeaBees aided by using a forklift to prevent the car from sliding off.
