Kansas City aug 5 Edith Orthwein a society figure claims her novel rivals Three Weeks with vivid passages. The story centers on an artist and his model who flee for a vacation, with a pivotal painting stirring themes of love, marriage, and social scrutiny.
Probate Judge Bon ruled the city cannot obtain permanent ownership of a 30 foot wide strip on Liberty Street owned by Max Rudner. The city may only purchase an easement or right of way for the Shriver run district storm sewer outlet.
George Orwood, described as a foreigner, will spend 30 days in the workhouse for sulting women in West Tuscarawas Street between Wells and Cassilly Streets. Attorneys Braucher and Sweitver signed the petition stating the congregation agrees to convey the land to the better funded cemetery group.
County Treasurer Metzger says on August 8 at 1 o clock he will sell at public sale the property belonging to Daisy Corbin of Massillon to secure payment of the liquor tax.
