Early reports from Canton show far fewer women than men registered as the first day of general voter registration opens. By 1 p m the city recorded an average of fifteen men to nine women per precinct, with about 2500 per gang overall. Bad weather blamed for slow female turnout. An afternoon surge expected as polls stay open from 4 to 9 p m for workers to vote and register.
Dr. Theodore C. McQuate Stark County coroner and Miss Dessie Gray a Massillon High School teacher and women's club education head will wed this afternoon at the bride’s home. Rev W R Pelham will officiate at the corner Main and High streets Massillon residence once known as the democratic white house. The couple plan a brief wedding trip and will reside in Massillon.
Part cloudy conditions in western Ohio with rain followed by clearing this evening. Lows around freezing in western areas with some frost possible late tonight. Friday expect fair skies and cooler temperatures. Temperature readings show today near 38, high around 52, and low about 46 with trace precipitation.

Mrs. Mary V. Dumoulin eighty two widow of Joseph H. Dumoulin died at her home 829 Clevelemday NW Thursday morning at seven. Born in Charmonix then part of Switzerland she came to the United States at one year old and lived in Canton and Louisville for eighty years. Funeral services will be held at St John’s church Saturday at nine with burial in St John’s cemetery. Surviving are five of ten children and twelve grandchildren.
Henry Ellsworth Robinette four year old son of Mr and Mrs H E Robinette 820 Youngay NE died Thursday morning of appendicitis He fell ill Wednesday afternoon He is survived by one sister Mary Margaret Funeral services set for Sunday at 2 pm with burial in Westlawn
