Frank E Roseman sues George Roseman in common pleas court seeking damages of 15000 claiming collusion to extort money by threatening to reveal alleged affair with Roseman's wife. The petition says the cross petition seeks division of funds obtained through the alleged prosecution. Attys Wolkmer and Amer Sad Mills represent Roseman.

In Montgomery Alabama on September 29 Will Temple a black man shot Patrolman J Barbaree during a disturbance was dragged from Hales infirmary by six men and lynched. Earlier a mob killed Robert Croskey and Aelius Phifer two black men accused of attacking white women after they were taken from an automobile to the circuit court. Croskey died five hours after the mob riddled his body.
The county board awarded contracts to six firms for ballot boxes poll books and ballots totaling 3999.49 3801.80 and 1197.50 after rejecting a single bid of 66454 for ballots. The successful firms are Armorclad Co Columbus Rack Hook Co Bradshaw Printing Co White Edwards Printing Co Reserve Printing Co Stoller Printing Co. About 400 poll book sets and 659000 ballots are to be purchased for November with 15 special propositions driving demand.
