Detectives arrest man for 30 gallon still operation
Detectives Weidman and Vogley arrested George Malamar at 1417 Sycamore Ave E on federal prohibition act charges. They found a 30 gallon still in operation, confiscated six gallons of manufactured whiskey and six 60 gallon raisin mash barrels. Malamar arraigned and fined 300 dollars plus costs. William Williams charged similarly and to be arraigned later in police court.

Dr Samuel J Spalding aged 77, prominent Canton inventor and Republican politician, died at 508 Walnut Ave NE Tuesday morning from complications of diseases.
