Edwin Lint an 18 year old from Wooster is killed when his Ford speedster veered off the road struck a barbed wire fence. A strand of wire caught him under the chin causing almost instant death.

The safe in the Tifin Farmers' Exchange Co. office was blown open early today yielding 350 dollars. A fingerprint expert was summoned from Toledo after police found no other clues. The office is in the elevator adjoining the railroad yards.

Police pursue Charles Jones for murder after he shot George Johnston at Johnston’s home in a Cherry Street SE residence. Five shots hit the door and casing. the sixth struck Johnston in the abdomen and he died at Mercy Hospital three hours later. Jones fled and was later jailed in a prior Crabbe Act arrest.
David Burke, 21, remained conscious on an operating table as doctors drilled into his skull to remove a brain tumor amid a railroad accident injury. He endured local anaesthesia, facing possible paralysis but told he would recover. Burke endured the pain, then expressed hope of recovery.
A five year old girl, Sylvia Zimmerman, awakened to her guardians in a Cleveland drug store.
