Man Escapes In Stolen Car After Robbery
A gunman robbed the Standard Oil filling station attendant at Cleveland av and 15th st SW on Sunday night then fled in the attendant’s car. The car, owned by Conrad Bittner, was found abandoned early Monday. Bittner described the suspect as a 22 or 23 year old man in a blue suit and straw hat. Police note three other robberies reported Monday, including a store burglary and tire thefts.

A municipal court jury ruled such bay rum sold at five and ten cent shops is an alcoholic beverage.
