In Cleveland on September 8 Mayor Kohler ended the amateur boxing ban by naming a boxing commission with Safety Director Martinecz and Charles Bethel from the former panel, plus A. Beatty of the May Co. replacing the late Charles Bernhard. C. E. Robbins is secretary and Dr. Maurice Budwig returns as medical adviser. The new panel will meet Monday to(review applications for amateur shows and promises stricter rules. The previous ban followed rowdy crowd behavior at a Public Hall show on April 18.
