Thirteen year old Kury Swarte was accidentally shot near her home by Clarence Marchand of Cleveland. Ruby Swarts accompanied them as the two climbed a fence. the bullet struck Kury in the abdomen and she was taken to Mercy Hospital and operated on. Despite serious condition she showed improvement the next day.
