Berlin reports the German built American airship ZR-3 finished its second trial flight, returning to Friedrichshafen at 6:15 PM after cruising over northern Germany. Ansel Mowrer, aboard, relayed brief wireless updates as the ship passed Munich Nuremberg Ansbach and Stuttgart before heading home.
Cleveland police seek four alleged confidence men accused of draining the life savings of Christopher Maul the 57 year old retired Chicago brewmaster. The scam centered in Akron with Maul losing bonds worth 45000 and cash 40000 after a fake wire tapping scheme. Two men who accompanied Maul to the brokerage office were described to police.
Prominent Toledo businessman Fred W. Sick was killed when a Pere Marquette passenger train struck his auto at a crossing. The impact hurled the car seventy feet. Sick's body was mangled beyond recognition.

John H. Lehman, longtime Canton educator and former school superintendent, died at his home 1506 Cleveland Ave NW just before midnight at age 78. Born May 17 1846 in Lancaster Penn he moved to Canton with his family in 1856 and became a rural teacher at sixteen rising to North Perry principal before leading Canton public schools.
Dayton reports United States Ambassador to France Myron Herrick took a forty minute flight with Lt Harold R. Harris in the new night airways ship. The ambassador, recovered from illness, praised Harris and said he would return to Paris in about 30 days for his post. His grandson Parma Herrick Jr. accompanied him.
Mrs. Robert Clark told a court she would not prosecute her husband for non support. She shown cards he printed saying Hand Laundry Slow and Careful Work Called For And Delivered. A social worker noted his efforts including a telephone to drum up business.
Despatches from Batoum report that forty Georgian revolutionists were executed by the Soviet in Constantinople area. About four hundred peasants and workers are said to be imprisoned. Reports also mention massacres of women and children in some districts, though the insurrection persists.

A tall man with a beard and a black bag tried to see the Prince of Wales at the Burden estate in Syosset. Detained by detectives, he had written a telegram to a Philadelphia friend saying he was there and calling on the Prince. He was warned to leave and left promptly.
