In Cleveland and Chicago reports, about 500000 railroad workers linked to key unions show near unanimous support for a walkout over wage cuts ordered by the US Railroad Board. Other districts report five to six to one for strike. officials say they will wait for official ballot tabulation before quitting.
Milkmen spot a young woman labeled September Morn wandering Cleveland streets in a market basket on her arm. Police detain her and take her to a hospital after she appears dazed and talks of finding a relative.
Plans are done for 1.3 miles of ravine work on the Lincoln Highway in Stark County. Surveyor Sickafoose will carry drawings to Columbus and seek state highway aid to pave the sections this season. The county’s 33 miles of Lincoln Highway include a final long stretch between Robertsville and Minerva now being paved.
