Pastors Discuss Woman Evangelist Mrs McPherson’s Campaign

Mrs. Aimee Semple McPherson spoke at the municipal Auditorium on the eighth day of a three week evangelistic run. Crowds pressed in at the First Congregational church and the afternoon service as she recounted her life from Canadian roots to missionary work and conversion. The audience heard her story of faith, marriage to Robert Semple, and a call to save souls, with many penitents awaiting altar requests.

Yankees Win Fifth Clash as Ruth Struggles Arm

Sunday Night Robberies Hit Canton Businesses and Homes

A spate of robberies across Canton Sunday night netted thieves cash, valuables, and several revolvers. Boy Dies After Sand Bank Collapse Near North Canton Road

Seven year old Ralph Owen was killed when a landslide at a gravel bank near his home buried him. His ten year old brother Maurice escaped with minor injuries as rescuers spent an hour recovering Ralph’s body. The coroner cited suffocation as the cause of death. Funeral services were set for Tuesday at the First Christian Church with burial at Westlawn.

Grant Beastly Sentenced for Dice Fight

Grant Beastly pleaded guilty to assault and battery after a craps dispute left another man wounded. Judge Ake ordered 60 days in the workhouse, with Beastly having been jailed over two months. Mass Healing Is Successful at McPherson Meeting

Seemingly miraculous cures were wrought at Mrs. Aimee Semple McPhersons quiet hour prayer meeting as she led a mass healing for the first time. Thirty two audience members testified to benefitting with some claiming complete cures including a bed ridden woman who ran the aisle. Marian McArdle to Testify in Lakewood Murder Trial

Marian McArdle will take the stand in her own defense in Judge Homer G Powell's court in Cleveland. She faces trial as a principal in the murder of Daniel F Kaber at his Lakewood home two years ago.
