Canton observed Memorial Day with ceremonies planned around the Auditorium and Westlawn cemetery. Veterans from Civil War Spanish American War and World War I decorated graves while riders and citizens listened to afternoon addresses and reflected on peace since 1914.
The NC-4 commanded by Lieutenant Commander Albert C. Read landed near Plymouth at 2 26 pm after a 6 hour 59 minute crossing from Ferrol Spain. Three British planes met the seaplane and escorted it to Mayflower Rock while fog and rain gave way to sunshine. Rear Admiral Plunkett greeted Read aboard the Rochester as officials noted the near surface flight and limited visibility.
City council plans to pass a six cent fare ordinance for one year on N. O. T. city lines. The measure, opposed by most members, would be put to a referendum at the August primaries. N. O. T. agrees to $120,000 in improvements including the Byunav SW extension in exchange for the grant.

Blinn of the N O T will address the Board of County Commissioners Monday to discuss the twenty five year franchise drawn up for Canton and Massillon along the Canton Massillon road. The proposal, prepared by attorney Austin Lynch, could grant N O T operating rights if approved. If rejected by the N O T the matter may return to the courts. The commission will review the plan and decide on next steps.

The League of Nations opens a barren suite near the House of Commons as temporary headquarters in London. Lord Colum Crichton-Stuart oversees operations with Drummond guiding provisional organization and the secretariat. The first tasks include arranging a Washington meeting and creating commissions within fifteen days after treaty ratification.
