Joseph Willis twenty two and Joseph Fitzgerald fifteen were canoeing at Meyers Lake when the vessel capsized. Willis sank after saying I’m alright while Fitzgerald swam to safety. Willis’ body recovered hours later as searchers dragged the lake. Willis had taken the canoe without permission and had warned against going out.
