Caseau soft drink parlor carrying a quart of home distilled liquor. Her mother says she was an unwitting accomplice and unaware of the bottles she delivered.
Brig. Gen. William Mitchell of the government aviation service fell from a horse near Milwaukee after the animal slipped while jumping a barbed wire barrier. The rider was thrown to the ground but no bones were broken, according to his physician.
Chicago May 30 Stanislaw Szukalski New York sculptor who came to Chicago to marry Miss Helen Walker artist daughter of Wr Samuel J Walker said he was only to take his bride to live on a farm and raise pigs Sculpturing isn t very profitable but those who raise pigs make a lot of money he said Szukalski took out a marriage license to wed Miss Walker today Miss Walker said their plans would be announced Friday

Nearly 1500 children in central junior high and Oley school marched to the streets within two minutes after fire gongs sounded. Fire likely started in the cafeteria on the top floor of the three story building.

Huntington, May 30. An automobile transportation company to be incorporated at 25000 dollars is being organized to operate an auto bus service between Huntington and Charleston. Six Packard touring cars will be purchased, each making two round trips daily. Until the paved road between Hurricane and St Albans is finished the service will follow the river road.

Washington May 80 United States Supreme Court rules Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland can have the Court of Claims decide how much of its capital is taxable under the Spanish War Tax Act as money used in banking. Government argued funds were used in banking and that the case was barred by the statute of limitations. The case is remanded to the Court of Claims to determine which funds were used in banking business.
Mayor Goff continued work on cases from raids in Crooksville where over 800 gallons of liquor were seized last week. State prohibition officials with Constable J E Trout visited twenty locations and imposed fines exceeding $2,000 in related cases.
Residents report many show boats on the Ohio river this season with several tied up near Coolville. People flock to them from miles around to view the vessels and enjoy the attraction.

George Thomas of Sunberry Pa told police Tuesday a thief entered his room at a local hotel while he slept and stole 57 dollars and a gold watch. Thomas, arrested in Alliance Monday, was brought back to Canton and booked on suspicion. Police suspect his involvement in three weeks of Canton rooming-house robberies.
William Rubenstein was arrested by police Monday night on a charge of embezzlement. The offense stems from an automobile transaction between Rubenstein and a Massillon man and is filed in Massillon municipal court.
Police arrested Bertha Snyder sixteen Leona Dawes nineteen and William Harris twenty on suspicion. Also taken in were John Tharley for driving while intoxicated Nick Pulean and Mike Merkel for assault and battery Mamie Adams and John Adams for possessing illicit liquor.
In Bucyrus on May 30, a bolt of lightning struck a tree in front of Harry Christman as he worked on screen doors with steel pliers. The strike shocked him and threw Mrs. Samuel Bonebrake next door to the floor.
Two men die after a sedan strikes an interurban street car on Canton Akron road near the public square. Frank Florulli 33 of Columbia Heights Massillon and Charles Belles 40 restaurant owner Canton were pronounced dead or died at 5 30 a m. Coroner’s inquiry held.
May 30 report says republicans captured Belleek in Fermanagh border area as Belfast faced heavy shelling. Four men killed in Belfast in last two hours. Heavy artillery and shells landed from British ships to an unknown destination. Ulster constabulary evacuated Belleek as republicans encircled districts.
Frank Bridgeman 35, accused of six marriages, receives two of his wives at Ashland jail after a preliminary hearing in Catlettsburg. He is held to the grand jury in 1000 bond, unable to post, and remanded to await June trial. An Ashland wife and a Portsmouth Ohio wife accompany him, with other alleged spouses in Cincinnati and Columbus.
Buffalo Mayor Frank X. Schwab pleaded nolle contendere to indictments for prohibition violations and was fined 500 dollars. The offenses occurred before he became mayor while he managed Buffalo Brewing Co. Internal Revenue penalties were settled for 10,000 dollars. brewing company indictments will not be pressed.
In Elyria on May 30 H B Schultz, head of the White Eagle markets, was arrested again on a charge of doctoring hamburger steak with sodium sulphate to preserve it. A prior incident involved a suspended $25 fine for selling sheephead fish as white bass.
