Heller Hurt In Canton Street Crash In Mercy Hospital
Myer Heller 40, father of three, lay seriously injured at Mercy hospital after a car struck him on Cherryay SE near Tuscarawas Street in front of the New Barnett hotel. Driver Lewis Tovissi, recently sold vehicle operator, faced a charge of reckless driving as witnesses described the collision. Robert Petitt of the New Barnett hotel drove Heller to hospital. Dr. H M Schaeffell treated him. Heller, a dry cleaning proprietor, could not give his address. Also noted was a separate accident at Blairsville where W Roth and Emil Heim, both Canton men, were injured when Heim’s car overturned on the William Penn highway near Latrobe.
