Initial legislation for paving Market av 8 from the end of the existing pavement to North Industry rd was taken by council Monday. City Engineer Sarver's estimates and plans were accepted. The estimated cost of the construction on the deferred payment is 666,580 though this sum may be reduced by advance payments by property owners. A brick pavement is specified to meet North Industry rd. Sidewalks will be built only on the west side. The work could not be done this year but steps will be taken to prepare for action next spring.
