German delegates seek more time to consider the treaty as a deficiency bond issue rises on June 24. Citizens Loan plans liquidation of debts tied to a Market Street corner purchase amid May German state school election signals.
Canton Parks and Playgrounds association plans a three day drive starting June 3 to raise 10000 for city playgrounds. Tag Day will feature children selling tags in the business district. Paris May 21 The time limit for submission of German observations on the peace treaty expires at 3 pm tomorrow. After the Big Four finish reviewing these communications a definite date for German acceptance or rejection will be fixed. The Austrians may sign soon after the German document with little quibble and President Wilson could depart for the United States around June 7.
Central Steel Co of Massillon increased total stock from 5.6 million to 7.5 million and issued an additional 2.5 million in preferred stock at par. New plant buildings and widespread mill improvements costing about one million dollars will be undertaken. Preferred stock rises from 2.5 million to 5 million.
Washington May 21 The house of representatives passed the constitutional amendment extending the right of franchise to women. Before the roll call started at 4 oclock half the members had voted and the majority appeared to be four to one in favor. The first 150 votes showed a four to one ratio across parties.
London reports a memorial will be built for Harry G Hawker and Lieut Commander Irvine to honor their Atlantic cross attempt. Funds start soon as aviation circles note the heroic effort to fly the Emitted flag fleet across the ocean.

The Citizens Building and Loan Co of Cleveland Avenue SW acquired the northeast corner of Market and Third SE from the Barber estate for an estimated $400000 project. A six story steel and concrete bank building with elaborate fixtures will rise after April leases expire, occupying Market av S frontage and Third street. The firm, with assets over $5 million, plans offices and store rooms, matching a similarly funded First Trust and Savings Bank project on Market av in the same year.
George J. Markley of Mineral City was appointed by the Tuscarawas probate court to act as administrator for the estate of Van Kirk the Canton banker who killed himself last week. Markley will qualify next Saturday and it is expected the tangible assets and insurance will cover alleged bank losses.
