Boy, 5, Killed by Automobile in City Accident
Norman Gendel five year old son of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Gendel of 1442 Scoville Ave SW was fatally injured when struck by an automobile that ran over the sidewalk at 15th Street and Henry Ave SW after the driver lost control. The boy died at Aultman Hospital of neck fracture and crushed abdomen. August Wachenfelt 49 of 1857 Clark Ave SW, driver of the car, will be questioned by Coroner T C McQuate. The police report says Wachenfelt was westbound on 15th St when the machine ran over the sidewalk hitting the boy. The lad was taken to Whitticar's funeral home.
