Air mail pilot dies in storm near Chicago
Ross Kirkpatrick an air mail pilot is dead after his plane crashed in a tornado near Harvey and Argo Illinois. The storm flooded cellars and wrecked over 200 houses in Harvey as rain hail and high winds struck the southwestern suburbs. The former army aviator was en route from Detroit to Chicago with mail when the crash occurred near Maywood two miles west of Argo.
