Officials plan talks with the mayor about obtaining consent from property owners for a proposed NB streetcar line. Citizens fear the plan grants the traction company power to name a representative and may allow surveys favoring the project while limiting damage claims.
Ignaloff and Christ Ivanoff of Akron and Lene Stocca of st NE pop manufacturer were fined 1000 dollars and costs by Judge Bowman on charges tied to violating the fan law and interstate liquor trafficking. Police found liquor in their auto during a search and ordered disposal of the vehicle.

Ohio mayors elected as independents last fall face no ouster threat after the state supreme court ruled that without a petition nomination provision in home rule city charters the 1912 constitutional section has no effect. Judge Ben W. Hough said the ruling is not retroactive and chaos would follow if applied to current officials. The decision delays action pending legislative reform expected at the next session.

Federal official Julius Whiting Jr ordered the release of Stritt from the Stark county workhouse under the poor debtor act after a federal attorney declined to object. Prominent candidates for Moderator include Rev John B Laird Rev C C Hays Rev Hugh T Kerr Rev W O Thompson and Dr Cleland R B McAfee led by current Moderator Dr Henry Chapman Swearingen. The assembly features a key report on reorganizing assembly agencies continuing from 1920 and 1921.

In Baltimore near Joseph I. Kelley home at Green Mountai n and Kagerst a deadly riot roared past midnight into today. One federal prohibition officer and a Baltimore police sergeant were injured. Negro workers driving trucks to haul liquor worth about 500000 were beaten and driven away. Fire, bricks, stones and bottles rained on dry agents for over six hours. Kelley, with a broken leg, claims the liquor was his pre 18th amendment property. He will be arraigned when able.
Charles T. Orr a 14 year judge of the United States district court for the western district of Pennsylvania died at his home in Pittsburgh late Tuesday night He had presided on the bench since March and his death leaves a vacancy noted by political leaders who expect appointments to be made in the Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania region

Emerson W Polen thirty six of Massillon died after his auto struck a telephone pole on Youngstown Hillrd near Massillon at 6 30 PM He was rushed to Massillon hospital but died within a half hour Sam Domro of Crystal Springs was riding with him and escaped with minor injuries. Polen was a B and O railroad foreman and is survived by his wife and eight year old daughter.
