Andrew Kapler known as Dutch lies in aultman hospital Saturday morning in critical condition from a head wound. Tommy Youngstown, his dying companion, shows slight improvement after Friday injuries. Police press notes report Kapler bleeding, memory loss, and a bullet lodged in the left head.
New York May 13 Three dead and about 25 passengers plus 5 trainmen injured after Lehigh Valley Railroad Black Express derailed near Leroy Batavia. One victim R Brody 70 North Leroy traded hospitals. unidentified woman among the dead. Officials said three coaches plunged down an embankment and a crane was needed for removal.
Saturday saw officials of the Public Utilities Committee and Bell Telephone Co discuss raised rates across city districts. The council plans to file protests against the proposed toll and equipment plan including zone transmitters and alarm system changes.

May 13 Barton report says Edgar Harris age 68 died instantly when a jack handle slipped and struck him on the head while raising a house. Harris was a prominent Belmont County citizen.

Detroit man Beyden Jamas paid one dollar to buy a wife, an eighteen year old daughter and a baby for a friend in need. The young man alerted police, leading to his loss of the family and dollar. the seller Koszynski faces possible deportation proceedings.
A public testimonial honors the late Ralph W Hoffee and Canton posse members who routed a band of four bandits. The Elks club lawn hosts Saturday at 7 pm with speakers Judge Hubert Pontius and Thomas F Turner. Musicians Union provides bands. Dr A E Day opens and Father A B Stuber offers prayer.
