Reported unrest as students rioted over college control while Solicitors plan a Jubilee for Tuesday night at Courtland. The Community Fund drive reports $90,886.78 raised this year toward a $228,663.69 total with $90,140 still needed, as H. N. Bowman praises workers and notes momentum toward a $300,000 target.
Reports that Los Angeles and Cleveland interests sought to buy the Graf Zeppelin were denied by F. W. von Meister and Hugh Allen. Von Meister said no talks of sale occurred despite claims of a $1,000,000 price for an LA to Hawaii air passenger service. A Cleveland conference into the purchase was reported, with Goodyear and Goodyear Zeppelin Co. proposing a larger service.
Seattle reports a 3000 ton motorship was sunk in Royal Bay near Vic a late today after a fire in the engine room. Firefighters failed to check the blaze and the vessel went down.

San Francisco May 11 Gov C C Young expected to act soon on the pardon application of Tom Mooney the labor leader serving a life term for a dynamite case. Friends insist he is innocent.
Tom Mooney, imprisoned 13 years for the 1916 San Francisco Preparedness Day bombing, awaits potential liberty as Gov. Young reviews his 3,000 word pardon appeal. Mooney suffers an incurable stomach ailment and says he would rather rot in San Quentin than take a parole.
Edmond Quinn a famed American sculptor, 60, was found in a critical state at Metropolitan Hospital after attempting suicide by poison at his home on East 61st Street. Police report no motive. his wife and mother-in-law said they know of none. Quinn was born in Philadelphia and studied art there and in Paris before marrying Emily Bradley of Newport, R. I., in 1917.
Three Democrats announce campaigns for mayor with Herman R. Witter expected to file petitions Monday joining Joseph A. Gossett and Oscar Pfoutz. Republican Bert H. Beadle has made a formal announcement while others including Mayor C. C. Curtis may enter. Fraternal Order of Eagles meets Sunday to attend Theodore Max funeral at Seesholtz Funeral Home.
Smithsonian Institution funded by the federal government was shown to be used in a propaganda drive by public utility interests against government ownership. Samuel S. Wyer testified that three of his monographs bearing Smithsonian stamps are circulated by the National Electric Light Association. Four years ago Congress challenged the use of the Smithsonian name by Wyer, though full details were not disclosed at the time.
Two Mexican residents Jesus Medina and Elico Rodriguez died as floods and a swift river surge swamped Herington Kansas and nearby Council Grove. A missing person was reported and casualty lists could rise as rains continue. Business losses are estimated from 50 000 to 250 000 dollars.
