Harbert asks Canton city council to fund up to 5000 dollars to explore and test wells. He seeks authority for the public service department to lease or buy a well drilling outfit to drill wells and pilot pumping stations to improve water supply and remove iron and other deposits clogging pipes.
Attorney v Abt secured a default judgment in common pleas court against Mayor Schilling after delays in filing an answer. Abt seeks attorney fees claimed at $500 for contesting Turnbulls election and the court orders city auditor Brum to pay the clerk of common pleas the city funds owed to Schilling.
Report from the city Monday states engineer Phil H. Weber retains his position amid a dispute over a leadership change. Officials including the mayor declined to comment, while a state claim that Weber would be replaced by William KE. Sarver remains unconfirmed.
