National officials warn the strike will not last long as tensions rise over demands to meet treaty terms. Ambassadors from Teuton powers and allied nations brace for possible invasion while authorities plan disarmament and prompt trials for war culprits.
London May 6 The allied supreme council demands Germany pay war indemnities and meet all Versailles obligations or face immediate invasion. Germany warned that disarmament and trials of war culprits will be pursued. the reparations commission to be notified by May 6.

During a recent rainstorm county commissioners inspected a 300 foot dirt road segment east of Beach City that slid into Sugar Creek. Seepage loosened the ground and cracked the road to half its width, with repair costs estimated at 600 to 800 dollars to restore the road.
Two youths accosted John King at Gibbs ay and Tuscaras towne road, robbing him at gunpoint of a watch and 3.16 dollars. Police have a description and are investigating the Wednesday incidents.
