Supreme Court of Ohio orders execution after murder conviction. Mayor warns bus drivers about profiteering as electric chair scheduled for Thursday. Details vague due to damaged OCR but confirms a death penalty ruling and imminent execution by electric chair.

London May 4 Allies ready to submit a final proposal to Germany for settlement of World War I. The plan asks Germany to pay 33.75 billion dollars via bond issues with an export tax, with a midnight deadline around May 12 if not accepted. Berlin reportedly views new terms as more favorable than Paris proposals, while Washington to be consulted on naval action.
