Paris May 2 The Germans will have a 15 day period after presentation of the peace treaty to accept or reject terms with no oral discussion. Proposals may be written. replies also in writing. The treaty will be handed to the Germans in Versailles in the presence of Allied plenipotentiaries. Jules Cambon expressed hope the meetings would lead to lasting peace.

Worker Killed in Alliance Sewer Excavation
William Mozena aged 38 died Thursday in an Alliance sewer project when a large stone fell from an open section and struck him in the chest. The accident occurred about 20 feet deep as he exited a supported area into an unsupported portion where a steam shovel stood. Mozena, a married man, left behind several small children.
