New York report says engine crews of 1500 boats from Pennsylvania Lackawanna Jersey Central and WW&J were called out in a marine engine men strike. Leaders aim to pull all railway ferryboat crews from work and predicted New York harbor would be tied up within 24 hours.
In New York on May 2 a union organized five thousand pickets to support a garment workers strike involving sixty five thousand. Pickets will be dispersed across the city as the strike begins tomorrow with continued coverage on page two.
State inspectors claim Canton groceries and confectioneries violate pure food rules as cooked and raw meats are displayed without preparation.
