Berlin reports a rising red wave threatening nationwide strife as communists press for a general strike. clashes kill 20 workers and two police in Eisleben, with Berlin and Hamburg seeing police mobilization, riot control, and forced factory dispatches as police suppress demonstrations.
A fire at the Strand theater on Market Second Street SW trapped dancers on the third floor. Kessler, 20, son of the theater manager, was badly burned while rushing to warn residents above. Firemen and staff evacuated about 350 in the hall as smoke filled stairways, with Kessler later treated at Mercy hospital. General Jacob S. Coxey plans a Sunday celebration at Massillon City Hall to mark the 27th anniversary of his Washington march with the army of the commonweal. A speech will urge reforms, with a band to entertain a large crowd as Coxey recalls past protests and his early ideas on initiative, referendum, eight hour day, and minimum wage. He remains a staunch reformer, now 67, operating a Massillon stone quarry and spending time in New York and Washington.

Abram’s Co. aims to start razing this April with a three story, fireproof vaudeville venue for 2000, plus several storefronts.
The Hirschheimer Brothers Co. will take a long term lease on the Douda property, effective April 1, with plans for a one or two story addition to their building. The Canton clothiers, dating to 1874 on this site, may not rebuild soon but need more floor space as growth continues. Isaac and Louis Hirschheimer remain active executives. The January grand jury returns for its final session this week with nearly 70 cases awaiting investigation. Washington March 26 For mer President Woodrow Wilson who suffered an attack of indigestion yesterday is much better tonight according to Dr Grayson Mr Wilson was weakened by the attack and his condition was somewhat upset but Dr Grayson is confident that he will mend rapidly.
Trial of Dr Silas B Post for criminal operation is planned for early next week. Prosecutor Walter Ruff said Post was indicted earlier but not tried due to claims of ill health. A health delay may lead to appointing physicians to assess his condition before proceeding. The indictment covers an operation on a young married woman of Massillon.
Davis Davis of James Co. Davis from Texas is named director general of railroads by President Harding after acting as counsel for the railroad administration. Harding thanks John Barton Payne for his service in government railways and other national work during a difficult period. Positive identification of Sam Purpera as a gang member in the December payroll heist and double murder was made at his arraignment. Purpera pleads not guilty though he signed a confession. under Ohio law it need not be shown he fired the shots to convict him. A second man, already in the state penitentiary, will be brought back to Cleveland to answer.
