Canton Ohio police raided the quarters of Donohue and arrested Myrtle Brown in a bid to break up drug distribution. Investigators seized morphine in Brown’s possession and questioned two others as they pursued leads on a northern Ohio ring linked to the operation.

After a seven year shutdown due to a gas explosion, the Timken plant carbonizing furnace department resumed operations Wednesday at 8 p.m. E. E. Boyce, severely burned, reported slight improvement at Mercy hospital. Assistant superintendent H. Riefsnyder and Burt Jackson also burned, were able to resume work Thursday.
Gen Luis Herrera once aligned with Villa and later with Carranza reportedly deserted again to Villa’s side with about 2000 men. The Columbus dispatch notes his controversial moves, the transfer of command from Chihuahua operations, and Villa’s escape aided by Herrera’s passes.
