Kalamazoo Mich March 19 Miss Elizabeth Williamson 20 daughter of a paper mill worker here said she would sail for England soon after Easter to marry Yoshio Markino a 52 year old Japanese artist if his London exhibition proves financially successful She has never met him but has corresponded after reading his Japanese art book She will tell her mother but not her father and plans to marry him even if the exhibition fails with civil authorities likely to perform the ceremony.
Evelyn Jane Hill seven daughter of Walter Hill of Aultman died Monday night at Mercy Hospital Canton after stepping from a school bus into a car driven by Wassmer. Coroner McQuate said authorities investigate for speed as the fatal accident crossed county lines in Summitco. Funeral arrangements set with uncle Carl Van Horn in Canton. Two other minor injuries reported in separate Canton collisions.
A Sigma Nu Fraternity house at Ohio State University burned starting in the basement with two roommates escaping via rope and another crawling through smoke from the third floor. Twenty residents were away for spring vacation. Fire caused about 100000 dollars in damage. R W Klink of Cincinnati and W H Metzger of Okmulgee were the two who fled.
The senate coal committee plans subpoenas for John D. Rockefeller Jr Charles M Schwab R B Mellon and other top corporate heads. Senator Wheeler and Gov John Fisher of Pennsylvania will be summoned but not subpoenaed if they accept invitations. Wheeler also seeks subpoenas for A K Oliver W D Reiss and J D Lyes. He hopes to bring the first witnesses by week’s end.
Assistant Secretary of War F. T. Davison and Brig. Gen. James A. Fechet will fly to the Canal Zone from Minatitlan aboard two planes sent from France Field. Davison's aircraft was badly damaged Sunday when the pilot was involved in a landing crash.
Boston Mass Marcel 20 The navy works on the S-4 salvage to learn from the Dec 17 collision with the Paulding that sank the submarine off Provincetown. The board led by Capt. J D Willson reviews hull evidence to improve future safety measures and rescue methods.

Washington dispatch reports Senator Woodbridge N Ferrie of Michigan remains seriously ill with bronchial pneumonia. The 75 year old senator had a fairly comfortable night and is kept in absolute quiet with access only for his physician Dr Cary T Grayson and nurses in his room.
Senator Edge from New Jersey led a senate protest against building eight of fifteen proposed naval cruisers in government yards. He presented a petition from New York Shipbuilding Corp Camden claiming 3 500 of 5 000 employees were out of work.
London reports two prominent politicians, Lord Balfour and Lord Birkenhead, ill. Balfour suffered a heart attack with serious condition and laryngitis since January, canceling engagements. Birkenhead has had a cold since Saturday with a high temperature.
Mayor C. C. Curry endorsed the Thayer Military Band sixth annual concert at the city auditorium. The free anniversary program honors the band’s work to promote good music in Canton and invites a full house with no admission or collection.
William R. Shaul, 92, a Civil War veteran, died at his Cable home. He served with the 9th Ohio Volunteer Infantry and spent nine months as a prisoner at Andersonville.
United States Marine aircraft launched a deadly bombing assault on Sandino forces near Murra, 30 miles north of El Chipote, with reports of heavy rebel casualties. Captain Francis Pierce was wounded as planes returned for reloads before a third strike. A 420 man marine detachment heads to Corinto, led by Admiral Sellers, to reinforce efforts.
Paris dispatch says Alexander Zoubkoff and pilot Wine intend to fly from Paris to New York this summer. Zoubkoff, a Russian who recently married the sister of the former Kaiser, was expelled from Germany for lacking a visa extension.
