Jose Fernandis Ferry, a 20 year old Spaniard, was sentenced by Judge Krichbaum to life imprisonment with hard labor in the Ohio Penitentiary for the murder of Mrs Elizabeth Rich on New Year's Eve in Penipli NE. He initially chose death by electric chair but later accepted life imprisonment with solitary confinement annually on the murder anniversary.
