Canton Style Show 10 Opens Tonight at Seven

Canton gears up for a spring fashion opening hosted by the Canton Retail Merchants Board. Window displays transform downtown into a spring garden as textiles, furniture, jewelry, shoes, and radios showcase new styles. The event runs Wednesday to Saturday with window shopping starting tonight and extended store hours for guests.

Taft Not Anti Prohibition Says Brother at Hearings

Horace Taft testified before the house judiciary committee that William Howard Taft supported prohibition after its adoption. He recounted Taft’s speeches and stressed that the former chief justice believed the policy was permanent and must be enforced. City Eyes Large Annexation Plan For Area Expansion

City Solicitor Russell H. Mack plans to file a petition with the county commissioners late Wednesday to annex 74 square miles or 4 728 acres adjoining the city. A hearing will be scheduled for resident input on sections to be included, with city engineers detailing the proposed boundaries. City Engineer William Sarver called it the largest annexation plan in about 25 years.

Theater Bombing Strikes Grand Rapids Movie House

Irene Shrader Reenacts Paul Shooting in Trial Day

Irene Shrader reenacted the murder of State Trooper Brady Paul during her trial in New Castle Pennsylvania. Special Prosecutor Charles J. Rioters Storm Chapin's Restaurant In Cleveland

Nine young prisoners, including three girls, were held after a disturbance at Chapin's restaurant in Cleveland. The mob of 16 alleged Communists stormed the eatery, smashed dishes and chairs, and carried banners reading Fight race discrimination.
