William Lindsey cashier of Lexington Savings Bank pleaded guilty to three counts of forgery yesterday. He was remanded to the grand jury and held on a $30,000 bond. Bank examiners found at least $72,000 shortages in his accounts and said he admitted misappropriating funds over 14 years with forgeries and false entries.
In Barrington Rhode Island on March 12 David Gentile 22 fired twice at his former sweetheart Mary Arguiula 17 injuring her fatally or nearly so. Gentile then shot himself in the head and died instantly. Mary Arguiula is at Rhode Island hospital not expected to recover.

Last seen Thursday night in Robertsville he is described as six feet three inches tall with one arm amputated above the wrist. In Sandusky on March 12, three youths from Lima were turned over to local police. Charles Vorhees 18, Carl Hilbord 27, and Drew Uncle 17 pleaded guilty to larceny and received 30 days in Sandusky jail after arraignment before Municipal Judge Claude J. Minor.

Paul Gschwend, 79, longtime Canton manufacturer and financier, died at 1369 Market Ave N Friday evening. Born in Butler, Pa., he headed the Elbel Co. and its predecessors, serving as treasurer and general manager. Survived by widow Cecilia and four sons and three daughters. Funeral plans pending.
