Violent Storm Damages Homer Oil Fields
A fierce wind and rain storm swept Homer Louisiana and nearby oil fields late yesterday killing Mrs Ed Rogers and injuring others. About 80 oil derricks in the Homer field mostly owned by the Simms Co were blown down while a gas well in the Eldorado field burned all night. Widespread damage extended to northwestern Louisiana southern Arkansas and portions of Mississippi with many small buildings destroyed.
