Miss Gladys Hinckley, famed Washington society figure, debuts a new fad by wearing a tiny platinum jeweled bug on her left ear. The insect dangles from a nearly invisible chain, appearing at friends' homes and in her drawing room, signaling a rising style craze.
Early returns show a light city turnout with 438 in favor and opposing on the school bond issue after 10 precincts. Officials estimate 3000 to 3300 votes citywide as pleasant weather boosts afternoon turnout. If defeated, plan to refile in fall. leaders urge persistence and voter realization of need.

Charles Habeeb a peddler was arrested Wednesday on a charge of annoying Mrs Heatrice Bronson of 134 Level and Ay NW. In an affidavit filed in court she alleges Habeeb entered her house to show fancy goods and attempted to fondle her. Habeeb pleaded not guilty and will be tried Friday.

W C Moore was released in police court after being charged with carrying a concealed weapon. He testified he sought the name of a man who threatened his life over strike activity at the Stark exchange. State witnesses described Moore as agitated while flashing a revolver. Judge Quinn ruled no statute clearly gave deputy game wardens permission to carry arms, yet expressed belief Moore acted within a vague right.
The condition of Mrs Lucinda E Meyers 734 Alexander Ave NH is slightly improved at Ingleside hospital after sustaining numerous facial and head injuries. Found by a policeman and neighbors Monday, she was missing since noon. Police see no foul play. a lamp globe breakage suggests an explosion.

United Press reports Governor Cox fell ill in Columbus after a Canton trip. Doctors found a 103-degree fever and heavy chest cold, ordering him home to rest. The governor had canceled an engagement to speak at Marietta but had attended the state house earlier.
Dr Simeon Curtzo a Romanian of Steubenville pleaded not guilty in probate court to practicing medicine without a license. Bond set at 200 with March 22 hearing date. Unable to post bond he was sent to county jail, emotional as he defended his European medical study and family hardship. He referenced Brepean a Roumanian hero and alleged connections over a payment for services.
