Frank Hucette a 58 year old Cleveland laborer was pardoned by Gov Vic Donahey from the Ohio penitentiary where he served a life sentence for murdering his wife. He must care for his ten children and abstain from intoxicants.
Man 57 suffered lacerations to head and body when struck by a Ford truck driven by Elites Amith 1017 Lith NW about 10 Friday morning at the corner of Spring and 12th NE as Hike arrived east of 12th. Amith held on a charge of reckless driving. Arhart was taken to Aultman Hospital via Arnold ambulance. He resides at 1157 Spring.
Dr. Knute Houck a Washington psychiatrist whose wife Mrs. Gladys Walter Houck vanished December 16 has been taken to Lacrosse Wisconsin for care by relatives. Police debate whether she is dead or in hiding. Capt. Pen Clarke Canton police scientist aided the case.
In Fresno on March 11 a bill was passed to require whisky sales to operate under federal auspices rather than state permits. The plan aims to shift drinking oversight to the federal government, replacing local or state control.
Police report a Cleveland woman discovered in her basement hanging after returning from school. The mother, once despondent following her husband’s death earlier that year, was found by her daughter Catherine Henck.
James Dine, 63, admits killing his old crony George Nye, 68, after a drinking dispute behind 1549 Market Ave S. Nye died at Mercy Hospital from hatchet wounds. Dine, who surrendered to police, says he struck Nye during a confrontation after both men drank canned heat. Nye’s family informed. Dine faces a first degree murder charge.
Washington Marin The Reed committee abandons all activity on the senatorial slush fund inquiry until Congress reconvenes in December due to lack of money and Senate official resistance to funding. The panel had aimed to probe the 1926 Colorado senatorial race and Pennsylvania ballot seizures.

The second upholds $3,000 for Orville C Temple of Seth WV, injured on the same train.
Lexington Savings Bank drawn crowds as William Landsley, cashier, was taken into custody after allegedly confessing to shortages totaling 72000 dollars. Police say the incident followed an internal probe and public speculation.
Gov. Vic Donahey said on Friday he will ask the Ohio Senate to confirm Ruswell Burt of this city as a trustee for the Kent State Normal School. Burt, a member of the firm McCarty Armstrong Hourt Kinnison, was named by Columbus friends without the governor’s prior knowledge.
The city electrical department plans within ten days to install two new traffic signal lights and replace one. Dr Henry W Frauenthal a renowned physician who helped bring Dr Adolf Loreng to the country died when he fell from a seventh floor apartment window in New York. He left four brothers and a sister. The body was found after burning seven stories down to an area and the death followed a month of ill health per a brother.
Floyd Streitenberger, a discharged city detective indicted for complicity in the murder of Don R. Mellett, shows tears and gloom in custody as doctors treat him. Court plans indicate he may seek counsel at rerearraignment while police and prosecutors probe police complicity and other leads in Canton.
Joe Keenan aged six of 417 Walnut SE was slightly bruised after he was knocked down by an automobile driven by C. F. Sehleoppl of 994 Youngavy NE Friday noon. He was taken home after the incident. Police reported the boy ran from Sehleoppl’s vehicle at 4th Street and Melville Avenue BW.
In Saltburg near here nine people died when a fire destroyed the home of Clarence Marsh in Tunnerton. The dead include Mr and Mrs Clarence Marsh and five children Mrs Harry Montgomery and one child. Only one occupant escaped, Harry Montgomery, who leaped from a window. Fire began after 1 am and neighbors could not rescue victims trapped behind flames. Authorities suspect an overheated stove may have caused the blaze.
In Managua and surrounding towns Masaya and Cuidad Dario were occupied by 250 marines each after residents urged intervention. Local telephone workers claimed service slowed as operators spent lengthy time relaying calls from marines, whose Spanish exchanges were noted as awkward and time consuming.
Seventy people escaped serious injury in a crash of a bus and street car in Cincinnati. Mis May Wortman, 19, a stenographer, was the only serious injury, with cuts to head and face. Both front ends were demolished in front of the city workhouse two miles from downtown.
