United Press reports Senator Pomerene of Canton Ohio was named chairman of the sub committee to draft a presidential primary measure. He will mold the data into a single bill, guiding the senate effort on the Cummings Weeks proposal.
Canton local carpenters union held a meeting Monday night adding 10 new members for a total near 300. Organizers Howard Keating Joseph Schmidt and George Elder spoke on the benefits of organization. Contractors present agreed to the new 45 cent hourly minimum wage set to take effect April 1. Next meeting set for Monday night.
James Killin filed a common pleas court action Tuesday against the N. O. T. seeking 20900 dollars. He says the amount is owed him for injuries from a collision of two interurban cars near Ree urban on September 10, 1913. He alleges a broken leg and serious injuries.
Mrs August Heppoldt of Massillon filed a common pleas court suit for alimony Tuesday claiming her husband deserted her years ago, joined the army, and now refuses to support their three minor children. The couple wed in 1902.

In Sacramento state and county officials guard the treasury vaults and the 1200 strong force of the so called ton to Washington army led by Charles Kelly William Thorne and Rough Neck Teasdale as they battle with police. The invaders were forced from across the Sacramento river with clubs and water hoses. They threaten to return and bridges remain guarded while Gov. Oddie of Nevada denies permission for the men to stay in the state and calls for transport to Ogden Utah.
County Detective P. D. Howell investigated allegations against Village Marshal Malone in Beach City. The case concerns a claim of third degree treatment used to obtain a confession from James Norst, a Greek jailed for assaulting a 16 year old girl. Norst says Malone threatened his life with a rope. Malone denied the charges when Canton officials were contacted.
In Danville Illinois on March 16 the three day two state floral show opens at the focal armory. Millions of rare flowers on display mark the largest midwest exhibit since the Chicago Cocfoo show ended. Public viewing begins today.
