Mayor Revoke Licenses After Fight At 118 6th Street NE

Three men were fined after a fight at the 118 6th Street NE lounge. Frank Twudy, Clifford Awh, and FA Barone were arrested and fined 89 percent and costs with suspended sentences of 460 days. Miller Draws Term of 18 Months and 5000 Fine

Thomas W. Miller former property custodian in the Harding era received an 18 month federal sentence and a 5000 fine in Atlanta for conspiracy to deprive the government of honest service. He helped push a 7 million dollar claim for war seized German property with ex Attorney General Harry M. Daugherty. The jury convicted Miller. Daugherty case ended in a hung jury and was dismissed. Miller remains free on bond pending appeal.
