A stolen Ford touring car was pursued by officers Brighthill and Beazle after three bandits fled from 12th Street and Maple Avenue NE. In the chase the driver sped toward Louisville, Beazle fired six shots at the Jordan roadster, wounding one bandit. The trio abandoned the car at Fairhope and fled into woods. a second bandit fired at police but missed. Snow halted the pursuit, and authorities issued notices to Alliance and Massillon areas while searching hospitals for the wounded man. The steal was from R A Cavanaugh of Pennzoil at 6th Street NE and Market Street NE Friday afternoon.
