In Limerick, Mayor George Clancy and former mayor Councillor Michael OCallaghan were killed by armed attackers who broke into their homes. Clancy’s wife died later from injuries she sustained while defending him. Both men were Sinn Feiners and dragged from their beds before being shot. a curfew delayed medical help. A third murder, that of a youth named ODonnell, was reported later.
The body of Albert Folean of this city was identified in Oceanside New York after being found murdered in the woods last Friday. He left Canton January 1 to visit New York. Identification came from an insured parcel receipt found in his pocket, sent from his sister Mrs DeGennaro of 1242 Fourth Street SE. Michael DeGennaro, his brother in law, runs a grocery at that address.
Detectives A. T. Wiedman and Otto Hamlin were restored to their police posts by the civil service commission and returned to work Monday after a Saturday decision. Police Chief Gauchat assigned them to the day shift.

Charles I. Taylor, merchandise broker, answered a suit by Gammeter Commercial Co. of Akron over a carload sugar sale at peak prices during a shortage last year. Taylor says he sold the sugar at 25 cents a pound totaling 15 280, took back the sugar after a dispute, delivered Louisiana sugar, and paid 3227.18 difference. He offers 220 freight charges as completion of the contract. Webber Turner Herbruck represent him.
Mrs. Louisa Serejar was killed and Tony Serejar and three young sons are hospitalized after an auto collision with a westbound train near Seventy first street and Superior in Cleveland. Police say the driver entered the path of the train late last night.

William Vassapoulos was jailed on a 2500 bond after an absence of days in a case charging contributing to the delinquency of a young girl. He had been held to a 1900 bond and was given until 11 o’clock to appear, or the bond would be forfeited. He appeared shortly after the deadline and his bond was increased. Trial likely to occur late Monday afternoon.

Clark a 49 year old Pittsburgh engineer was killed instantly and Cornelius Dorgan a 45 year old Newport labor leader died while being transported to hospital after a motorcycle skid into a steel guard rail at the Cincinnati end of the Newport bridge.
