William G. McAdoo and Senator Borah emerge as leading figures for a potential non partisan third party in 1924. Boise leader Frank Johnesse says Borah or McAdoo could unite the movement, tapping liberal currents and labor support to challenge Republicans and Democrats.
Continued from page one, Congressman Joseph Himes is ill at home in Washington and ordered to hospital for examination and at least two weeks rest. Congressman Burton requested a two week leave of absence. Himes intended to stay until the bonus bill was disposed of, but physicians ordered rest. He will likely enter a hospital today for examination then seek complete rest. insomnia has troubled him and he has pressed to finish his duties first. The dispatch did not state if surgery is needed. Wimes has worked long hours at his office recently with little rest.
In Gotham New York on March 2 more than five thousand snow shovelers labored to remove two inches of snow from the streets. Forecasters predicted rain and sleet before day’s end.
Havana telegraph reports Himly's 1922 25 sugar crop estimate for Cuba at 8 600 000 tons. The advance figure comes from Havana and was transmitted to New York on March 2 1925.
Miss Helen Locy aged 22 of 1123 Tuscarawas Street was knocked unconscious late Wednesday afternoon when struck by a car in front of her home. A long distance operator for the Bell Telephone Company, Locy was crossing from a nearby grocery when a speeding vehicle hit her and she was thrown to the ground. The driver’s license number could not be seen and Locy lost consciousness after her head struck the street rail. She was returned to her home.
The Canton Pure Food and Household Appliance Exposition featured a boxing match with living models as contestants in the Auditorium drawing several thousand spectators. The evening also showcased clothing by Stern and Mann Kenny Lefkovits and others, pie and cake contests, and a shoe fashion segment with live model footwear changes. Local residents Mrs Rose Kistler won bread baking first prize for a peach pie, with others taking prizes for lemon cream and plum pies as judging continued through Thursday.

The nominating committee elected at the annual banquet met Wednesday and counted ballots by mail. Ten candidates were nominated and five directors were chosen from this list. The five will join a 15 member board and meet next week to elect officers.
A three day old American baby is offered for adoption through juvenile court. The child may be seen at 716 Cleveland at SW and arrangements can be made at the court offices for final adoption. Four Canton area men linked to a stolen auto ring were bound over to common pleas court after Indianapolis arrests and the recovery of six stolen cars. Suspects January South Massillon George Cornall Massillon Walter Smith Massillon A. Cilasi Canton were held on grand larceny charges with bonds set at 10000. Vehicles recovered included cars owned by Merle Hopstetter of Orrville.
Albert Friedman won a $125 judgment in Judge Krichbaum's Court against Nick Thomiades proprietor of a restaurant over a lost diamond ring. Friedman posted $5 as security. the ring was to be returned the next day but Thomiades claimed it was missing. Embezzlement charges were dismissed by a justice of the peace.
The Senate fights over the Four Power Pacific treaty. leaders expect ratification after battles over reservations. Lodge predicts easier success on other treaties once the Yap treaty is referred, while irreconcilables brace for long debate. Yap ratified 67 to 22, with Democrats split 13 to 19 in favor and 3 Republicans voting no.
