Southern Cross lands safely in Harbor Grace Newfoundland

Charles Ez. Kingsford-Smith and crew completed the first westbound Atlantic crossing to Newfoundland in the Southern Cross after a 31 hour flight from Ireland. Fog and lost bearings caused late difficulties but the plane landed safely at Harbor Grace.
